If you are looking for something to do with other runners in addition to our 1 hour Saturday morning run, this is probably a good option. It looks like the focus is on speed work. Map of parking area where we meet: http://goo.gl/maps/2s66z PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PLAN FOR THE MORNING IN YOUR RSVP ...such as the time you will start if it is something other than 7:00am and your pace, so people can see with whom they can run. Also please RSVP if you are going to breakfast so that we can reserve a table with our favorite waitress. Plan your start time and pace to finish at 8:00am. For those of you interested in an hour run, meet at 7:00am. There are people who run, run/walk, walk - whatever you'd like. The idea is, we have people to run with and we meet back at 8:00am to go to breakfast... so, if you are going for an hour go out at whatever pace you'd like for 30 min. Turn around and head back. So at 8:00am we'll be back at the shelter and can go to breakfast together at Tommy's Country Ham House (214 Rutherford St. Greenville, SC 29609). Hope to see you there! DIRECTIONS TO MEETUP: From 385 heading into Greenville: Take the Stone Ave exit... go left at the light at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Laurens. Pass under the hwy... take a right at the next light on Washington (there is a Sphinx on the corner). Take a left at the first light into Cleveland Park.... as you go down the hill take the first right then bear left (don't go under the little bridge to your right). You'll pass tennis courts on your left and then the playground on your right.... after the playground on your right you will see a shelter with a parking lot next to it - that is where we meet. Stay right at the fork, go over a couple speedbumps, take a right into the parking lot - the group will be standing down on the shelter end. If you use GPS, Google Maps, etc, we meet in the parking lot closest to the intersection of LAKEHURST and CLEVELAND PARK DRIVE. Lately there are a couple other groups who started using "our" shelter - as a result we usually stand in the parking lot/near the picnic table that is not under the shelter.
