What I'm aiming to do with this group is to bring tech folks together to learn about local problems (housing, education, poverty, etc), then find and build software solutions to address them.
We will meet regularly on Mondays and Wednesdays 12:00pm-2:00pm. The first meetup will be at a public cafe, then all subsequent ones will be on the rooftop of the Arrive high-rise in Belltown (2116 4th Ave).
At the beginning (The first meetup will be July 24th), we will focus more on learning and brainstorm project ideas. Please come prepared with some suggestions, or ready to dive in and do some research! I expect to spend a month or two in the brainstorming and experimenting phase, then pick a project or two to focus on and move more heavily into execution.
My background: I recently quit my job running software rapid prototyping and product incubation at a large tech company to focus on personal projects. Join me!
