What we're about
So, as a lot of us girls know, it can be hard or seemingly impossible to make strong, new female friendships as an adult. Our old friends have drifted away into the abyss of new marriage, kids, or just simply moved too far away.
I realized that although I have some close friends, if one day spontaneously, I want to ask them to go grab a coffee or a bite to eat or a drink, or to go to a yoga class, they're too busy or too far away to make it an easy thing to do.
When I had to schedule a night out with a close friend, but the only availabilities were 2 months away, I realized I had to get out of my comfort zone and make the effort and try my best to find normal, nice, easy-going, like-minded NEW friends on my own.
I'm 31, but I feel 26. I live with my boyfriend in Somerville. I'm a hairstylist and makeup artist. I appreciate witty, dry humor and a good laugh. I'm a good and loyal friend, I'll always have your back. I love to go out and have a good cocktail. I love to read, I love yoga and I do want to meet some new people and make some new friends and connections.
After asking around, and talking to some clients who are my age and feel the same way, that they want more good girlfriends, I realized I should try this and see what happens!
I figure if some people express interest, I'll figure out the logistics, a cool place to meet, and we'll go from there.
