  • Webster Evening Walk followed by Drinks at the new Frisco Barroom.

Lets do an evening walk around Webster Groves, Deer Creek area, Old Orchard and Tuxedo Park areas. I grew up there so I can't get you lost. 4- 5 miles approx. We will be walking about 1.5 hours. We'll start out at Deer Creek Park walk to Summit and Marshall walk the area around there then walk the Tuxedo Park neighborhood. If we have time we'll also walk the neighborhood behind Eden Seminary just north of Bompart. Please note these are all hilly areas. What to bring: Wearing lighter colored clothing so you can be seen by cars is highly recommended. Flashlight or head lamp. Plenty of water. Dress for the weather. Layers are recommended if cold. MEET in the Shopping center parking lot across from the Park. MEET AT the FAR END of the Parking lot by the ROSS store. The Park lot is very small and is usually packed with parents of kids using the sports field. Afterward if anyone is interested we can check out the new Frisco Barroom in Webster. They just opened less than a month ago. I believe they have food as well as drinks and a nice second story patio. The parking lot is on the left at the apex of the right hand turn. WHY WE LIKE IT: This is a great, forested walk for all year round. A great place to find solitude and a good workout. The Clark Trail is about 5.3 miles long, and the Lewis trail is about 8.2. DIFFICULTY: Medium to Difficult. There are hills. This trail gives you a wide variety of challenging terrain through creek bed and valleys from hardpacked dirt to gravel. WHO: Must be able to navigate comfortably with hills. However, I stay out of the woods once the ticks, chiggers, and mosquitoes show up. Once that happens I will put this hike on hold for me until fall and it's cool enough for the bugs to go away. Maybe someone else who deals better with the warmth and bugs will be willing to fill in. -- So please volunteer!) PLEASE keep your RSVP up to date. Thanks!
