Unique Opportunity for Emergency Response Training

From: Mandy

The Office of Emergency Management is giving us the unique opportunity to get CERT-certified (Community Emergency Response Team, a nationwide program). The training consists of 6 or 7 sessions for volunteers that want to make a difference in their community.

Classes are on Tuesdays from 6 to 9pm and cover disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations and basic medical aid. Training is very practical and will be conducted in and outside.

We need 12 - 40 volunteers that are able to attend at the following dates:

March 6, 13, 20 and 27 & April 10 and 17. If needed, a class can be made up at another time, with another group.

Life has treated most of us well. This is a good thing for yourself and most of all, everyone around you. Think about it.
