Drinking Liberally (http://livingliberally.org/drinking/) is a nationwide movement with local chapters all over the United States for liberals in more conservative areas to share a few drinks and talk.
Although we normally meet on the first Sunday of each month, we are moving the next meeting a week earlier for two major reasons. The first reason is that the first Sunday of July is scheduled to fall on the July 4th holiday weekend, and many people will be out of town. The second reason is that many members have expressed a desire to discuss all the major Supreme Court decisions that will be handed down this week, including Affirmative Action, Voting Rights, Prop 8, and DOMA.
So instead of our usual Drinking Liberally meeting at Sine Irish Pub, this coming Sunday (June 30) we will be Dining Liberally at Europa. They have a special where all tapas are half price on Sunday evenings, so it's a hell of a deal! Come on out and join us for dinner or just to talk. Gay rights and voting rights will be the big topics this week!
Please RSVP if you plan to attend. Ask for the Austen party when you arrive. Text or call me at 804-994-3634 if you still need help finding the group.
