Libraries Outside - Hike to Wildcat Peak

Remembering that when we take care of ourselves, we are better able to take care of those around us, let's hike from the Tilden Education Center (near the Little Farm) up to Wildcat Peak.
This isn't a long hike - about 3.6 miles round trip, but it does have some good hills and it has splendid views from the top!
It could be rainy or muddy, so please be aware of what the weather's been doing and plan accordingly. Heavy rain (monsoon style) will cancel.
All ages are welcome. Parents of small children, you know their abilities the best. If you think they can do it, then I think they can do it and more power to them.

This is not a Naturalist guided hike, so if anyone wants to do a little research about the area (history, plants, animals, etc) and teach us as we go, that would be wonderful.

I think just outside by the door. I'm hoping to go up on Friday and check the mud situation. If it's absolutely horrible, I'll email everyone that afternoon/evening. I think we'll be ok though as long as we get the proposed sun for the rest of the week.

AC Transit #67 bus stops every hour on weekends next to the rotary at the parking lot for the Environ. Ed. Center. I plan to take it myself. Will we meet inside the EEC? Or just outside by the door?
