Life Reentry® Groups are all about building a new life beyond life-altering loss. They are a place for you to grow in clarity, courage, and connection so you can re-engage with life after life-altering loss including the death of a loved one, divorce, estrangement, or any loss that affects your worldview, or sense of safety, security, or identity.
Through limited-duration grief support programs, I provide a safe environment for you to look at your old beliefs about dealing with loss, examining which losses have affected your life, and taking actions that will lead you to reconcile unresolved emotions that may still be causing you pain and preventing you from re-engaging with life.
Having been widowed suddenly at the age of 36, I understand intimately what life-shattering loss feels like.
Grief affects our well-being – emotionally, physically, and psychologically. It touches every area of practical life – from finances to family dynamics, to friendships and more.
We wrestle with our identity, our sense of safety, and our place in the world.
Most of us get to a “new normal” and start believing this is as good as it gets. Except it leaves us feeling empty inside. And then, there’s this nagging voice that whispers, “This isn’t enough. I want more… for the sake of the people I still have in my life... for my own sake... I want to feel alive and hopeful again.”
I want to tell you that is possible, and to show you a pathway forward.
Over the course of six weeks, we will address the toll of grief, along with the fears, doubts, and challenges of rebuilding. We will support one another in big and small ways to plug into life again.
If you’ve felt discouraged, disillusioned, and disoriented about how to rebuild your life, this class is for you. Each week there is reading and homework that will help you grow in self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-care.
You will take practical steps to find the clarity, courage, and confidence needed to write a brave new ending to your story.
Over the course of our meetings, we will: - Validate, acknowledge, and support one another in feeling seen, heard, and understood - Take practical steps towards wholehearted healing and hope - Identify the beliefs and behaviors that are keeping us stuck - Reconnect with our deepest strengths and values - Reignite our passion for life
