Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. The program, titled “Surviving the Death of a Loved One: Finding Peace in Your Time of Loss,” includes a film featuring Susan Burton, a woman who lost an infant child to sudden infant death syndrome. Although it’s been more than a decade since the loss of her child, Burton says “Emily is still a part of our family and our life. You can’t pretend the loss didn’t happen—you’ve got to cope with it.” Burton will discuss what proved helpful as she moved through grief and found peace and healing. Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at Restoration Cafe in downtown Clearwater.

Loving Those With Cancer: How to Cope, Care, and Give Hope

Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. Practical tips for helping loved ones cope with cancer will be explored at Lifetree Café on Tuesday, October 22th at 7:00 pm. The program includes filmed interviews with a cancer caregiver and a cancer patient. “Most people today are affected by or know someone who is struggling with cancer,” says Lifetree Café representative Craig Cable. “But people often don’t know the best ways to deal with someone who is battling cancer. In this program we’ll explore how to cope as caregivers and head home with practical tips for supporting those in our lives who are struggling with cancer.” Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at Restoration Cafe in downtown Clearwater.

Zombies! What's the Fascination?

Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. The fascination with zombies will be explored at Lifetree Café on Tuesday, October 29th at 7:00 pm. The program, titled “Zombies! What’s the Fascination?” features a filmed interview with Stephen Graham Jones, author of The Gospel of Z and Zombie Bake-Off. “Just about every culture has a tradition of the dead rising,” says Jones. “And zombies aren’t evil; they just do what zombies do—they look for food.” This program explores what is fueling our fascination with zombies—and what that fascination says about our culture. Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at Restoration Cafe in downtown Clearwater.
