If you struggle with plot, you are not alone. Many writers get inspired to begin a book, only to get lost in the middle or find themselves wrestling with an ending. Often, people who can write beautifully still feel daunted by the prospect of plotting a novel.

We'll cover inciting incidents, turning points, climax, denouement, premise, message, theme, conflict, resolution, character goals, motivation, stakes, and arc.

If you’re a “pantser” (someone who doesn’t outline in advance) and you have a finished draft, this class will provide exercises to tone up your plot. And if you’re an “outliner” (someone who outlines in advance), you can tone up your plot as you outline.

Open to all genres except picture book, and all levels from beginner to advanced.
