Welcome to the Liverpool Creative Sanctuary! The aim of this group is to create a space which nurtures your creative energy and gets you inspired, so bring along pens and paper, craft materials, musical instruments or anything else that helps you to express your creativity!
Within this refuge, away from the distractions of everyday life, we will get back into our groove through a series of creative exercises and discussions. There will also be some time set aside for reading/performing some of your work, so feel free to bring along some of your short stories and poems. You will be fully supported in this space and absolutely no criticism will be thrown at you; there is enough judgement in this world already and there is no place for it in this sanctuary. Your own unique voice will be encouraged and celebrated, whether you want to read something out, do a little performance or share something that has inspired you.
If you just want to crack on with something creative, such as sewing a dress or doing some painting, then there will be a designated do-not-disturb zone where you can do this. Kudos to you if you can spread some creative vibes!
There are tea/coffee-making facilities on-site, as well as chairs, cushions and yoga mats to get comfy on, but please feel free to bring along some snacks. There is a suggested donation of £4 to cover the cost of hiring the room and any surplus money collected will be used to buy craft materials for the group. The event will take place at the Gostins building on Hanover Street, just down the road from the big Tesco. The room is up on the fourth floor, directly opposite the lift, in the “Mindfulness Liverpool” studio. We will get started at 6:30pm and finish two hours later at 8:30pm. Please get in touch if you have any questions about the night.
Hope to see you there!
