Girl and the Goat captured our hearts and got the entire city of Chicago talking about pork. Now let's experience Celebri-Chef Stephanie Izard's latest love child, Little Goat. Sort of a friendly little sister to the original eatery, and almost directly across the street from it on Randolph, Little Goat offers an eclectic menu and an energetic dining room, as well as an adjacent coffe-shop/bar/bakery/sandwich joint where Chef Izard shows off her stependous artisanal breads (Tip: the Bacon Gouda loaf is omigod good!)
Little Goat redefines the casual, upscale East Coast diner, and the menu is all over the place: omelettes, sammiches, burgers, mac-n-cheese, even a smoked pork milkshake served with a cherry on top. You can check out all the offerings at: www.littlegoatchicago.com (The prices are a bit upscale, too, so budget accordingly.)
So join your fellow culinary adventurers for a fun, delicious, laughter-filled evening at Little Goat on Tuesday, March 9th at 6:00 pm. Little Goat doesn't take reservations and right now it's a very hot destination, so I'm going early to hold a table for us. PLEASE show up a little early if you can -- we'd like our party to be seated by 6:00 pm.
The guest list for this adventure is extremely limited, so we're requiring a small deposit with your RSVP to hold your place. When you arrive at dinner, your $5.00 will be refunded to you, in cash, to spend as you like. If you cancel or no show, your deposit will go into a fund to help pay our meetup dues and support food-related charities in our community.
If you have any questions, or suggestions for future culinary adventures to share with the group, please email me at [masked]. Hope to see you at Little Goat!
