What we're about
This group offers a library setting for a Buddhist group chanting meetup that is open to all participants or observers. Participants range from novice to experienced. Meetups take place once monthly on the second friday of each month at the Universalist Unitarian Church in Little Rock at the North Wing Perhson Library at 7pm. Meetup concludes at 8 pm and activities vary but will include a 10 to 15 minute chanting session after a basic practice and intro at the beginning. A refreshment stretch and question and answer followup. Relaxed conversation afterwards and group must vacate premises by 8pm. There are more formal Buddhist meetings taking place during the month in other locales if more chanting (encouraged) practice is desired.
This group will be changing its membership policy in the near future with a goal of restricting the total number of members to a maximum of 50. Meetup organizational guidelines stipulate a higher fee for groups of more than 50. If you see yourself as a member for over a year who has not RSVP or considered participating during that time, please consider leaving this group so others might join. You are always welcome back anytime. By streamlining our membership count, we can avoid paying ongoing markup fees to Meetup. Thank you for your understanding.
