I hope everyone is okay during these trying times and I wish all the very best to your friends, family and loved ones, both here and abroad.
As we will be unable to host events for the immediate future, probably until June, I have a suggestion:
* Please reach out to each other through this group to try to find a "Language Exchange Buddy". Make a connection with someone by swapping language and to also look out for each other whilst we have to self-isolate. Once you find a friend, private message each other with your number, skype name, messenger details, etc and start video chatting.
This way we can still keep practicing and take care of each other at the same time.
Please remember to be courteous and polite and help each other out.
Take care, stay safe and we look forward to seeing everyone again in Summertime.
Good luck and my warmest regards.
Do you deal with international clients on a daily basis? Planning a trip to South America and want to be able to communicate with Quechua-Peruvian fruit sellers?
If you are learning Spanish, French, Italian or English and want to practice and improve your language skills in a very relaxed atmosphere, then this is the right event for you. You don't have to be an advanced speaker or even speak a second language as it is for all levels. With new games, conversation starters and interactive & supportive tools, watch your language skills progress in a fun environment.
We meet every Sunday at The Prince Alfred (5A Formosa Street, W9 1EE) from 5 pm to 7 pm.
The Venue Once the backdrop for David Bowie's short film 'Jazzin' for Blue Jean', The Prince Alfred is a traditional London pub that boasts Victorian history and craftsmanship. The event is held in the cellar, downstairs, towards the toilets (turn left at the bottom of the stairs).
*Due to Fire Restrictions & Space we have a capped attendance of 35 Members. Please see that your RSVP is confirmed before you attend.
Food and Drinks The Prince Alfred offers everything expected from a great pub; delicious food, award-winning cask ales and an enviable drinks list.
Our meetings are a Gold Coin Donation event and are open to everybody who is proficient in at least one of the listed languages.
With enough practice, you could sound like Del Piero, Antonio Banderas, David Guetta or Queen Liz herself in no time!
We look forward to having you on board.
Thank you, Muchas Gracias, Grazie Mille & Merci Beaucoup.
