EVERGREEN MOUNTAIN WEST, SUMMIT, AND EAST TRAIL LOOP
Terrain: Dirt trail
Distance: Approx 5.3 miles
Restrooms: There are restrooms at the trailhead parking lot
Walk Description: Evergreen Mountain Trail offers a pleasant hike through pine forest with great views of the surrounding mountains including Mt. Evans and the town of Evergreen. The long uphill hike is worth every effort when you reach the rocky summit because the views are fantastic! This hike is rated moderate and has an approximate 1,010 foot elevation gain. This hike only offers dappled shade, so please bring a hat, sunscreen, and water.
I have not walked this trail before, so I encourage anybody who has walked here previously to join us. We plan to start at the west trailhead and follow the West Trail to Summit Trail, then East Trail forming a loop.
Dogs: Allowed on a leash. Please be sure your dog is well behaved and can handle the length of the walk. Dog owners must clean up pet excrement, per Jefferson County Open Space Regulations (https://www.jeffco.us/DocumentCenter/View/8982).
Important Note: This is a participate at your own risk event! Life is risky. I am not a professional guide. By signing up for this walk you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own safety.
Address/Directions: We will meet at the Alderfer/Three Sisters West trailhead.
The trailhead address is:
5136 South Le Masters Road
Evergreen, CO 80439
