APEX PARK ENCHANTED FOREST TRAIL
Distance: Approx. 6.7 miles
Restrooms: There are restrooms at the parking lot/trailhead.
Walk Description: Apex Park provides a popular, accessible foothills experience minutes from downtown Golden. A stream runs alongside the trail in part of the park, and a dense forest provides shady areas on the west end. The loop trail is considered moderate and has a 1,500 foot elevation gain. There will be some shade, but also some open area, so you should bring a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water.
I have not walked this trail before, so it will be a first for me. I encourage anybody who has walked here previously to join us.
Dogs: Allowed on a leash. Please be sure your dog is well behaved and can handle the length of the walk. Dog owners must clean up pet excrement, per Jefferson County Open Space Regulations (https://www.jeffco.us/DocumentCenter/View/8982).
Important Note: This is a participate at your own risk event! Life is risky. I am not a professional guide. By signing up for this walk you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own safety.
Address/Directions: We will meet at the Apex Park trailhead.
