What kinds of Star Trek events are you interested in attending?

I’m pretty much up for most ST events. My only meet-up conflicts will be due to my daughters sports and activities. Computer gaming is probably my weakest area. I'm more of a Mac savvy person and not much of a computer gamer, but I would be excited to give it a go.

Are you interested in hosting an event? If so, what kind of event?

I would be happy to host a Star Trek trivia night, board game event, movie / episode night or a discussion panel.

What Star Trek TV shows or movies are your favorite and why?

I have enjoyed watching all of the Star Trek franchise series and I must say that DS9 is my all time favorite with STNG coming in at a very close second. DS9 really delved deep to expose us to the politics behind Starfleet Command and to the cultures and philosophical beliefs of many of the STU alien races. I also believe that DS9 spent the most time with character development, especially with Lt. Commander Worf (MD), Chief O’Brien (CM) and with Quark (AS). I found this very refreshing. ST Movies. That’s a hard one! Wrath of Khan OS movie is just a classic and probably my all time favorite.

What Star Trek Race is your favorite and why?

Through the ST franchises, I think we’ve all been encouraged to love and relate to Vulcans and Klingons. Klingons are our primal selves with a little bit of samurai mixed in for good measure. Vulcans are our better selves. Beautiful, logical, more intelligent and more disciplined, like buddhist monks with a quest for exploration. I’ve alway’s been most fond of Romulans, which to me are just Vulcans with a little bit of humanity mixed in to spice things up.

What else would you like to tell us regarding your Star Trek interests?

I’ve always been drawn toward anything Star Trek or Sci-Fi for as long as I can remember. Loved watching Star Trek, BSG and anything Sci-Fi or Space related growing up. It’s a wonder why I did not become an astrophysicist.

It's been a long road. I've had many adventures in my life and have met some fantastic people along the way. Now, if I could only learn to speak Klingon! I'm a Graphic Designer. I enjoy Science and Technology, Star Trek and anything Sci-Fi related.
