We invite you to Host a Meetup with our group, just click on the "Suggest" Button under the Welcome sign. Please be clear as to who is hosting and all the details: Where, When and What the members will be doing. Your submission will be reviewed for approval by the Organizer.

Event Host Duties
• No need to email members about your event. Several will be automatically generated, announcing the event. Do not send any more, unless it is critical information. Use the event comments to post more information. Excessive e-mails are the number one complaint of members.
  • As a host, please have a clear face photo posted. People need to be able to identify you.
  • Also, please identify how people will find the group. Remember, this is a public group and people do not know each other. They must have a rally point.
    • Get to your venue 15 minutes early to set up.
    • Try to make it easy for members to find the group. Post an easy to find meeting spot, notify the establishment host, use a marker like a balloon or sign. Have other members help look for people wondering around. Watch the entrance as people arrive.
    • Welcome your members and encourage them to welcome other new members.
    • Name tags are suggested, though not required.
It identifies who is in the group and most of us have trouble remembering names.
    • Introduce new members to at least a few other members if you can.
    • Always remember to keep yourself open to members arriving at the beginning of the event. In other words don't get involved in a long conversation.
    • We want members to feel safe at events. If a member reports that they are being harassed or feel unsafe, please deal with it at the time the best you can. At the very least ask someone to provide safe escort to their car.
