Black Muddy River Band is a three member acoustic group from the Washington, D.C. area that captures the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead. Two and three part harmonies by the group overlay acoustic guitar, bass and mandolin. Fans of The Dead's early 1970s acoustic songs will finds these gems captured in fresh new ways. The band also plays acoustic versions of songs that The Dead amplified, including extended jams where the instruments interweave to capture The Dead's spare and intimate style. Black Muddy River Band is Jamie Daly, Steve Neugeboren and Dave Wolf.

The Crimestoppers have been playing rock n' roll and blues in the Washington, D.C. area since 1981. Originally known as "Dick Tracy and the Crimestoppers," the band shortened its name at the urging of an unnamed lawyer/member of the ensemble who experienced angst about potential copyright infringement. The band played such fabled D.C. venues as The Gentry, Club Saba, The Roxy, the Wax Museum, Bosco's, the Psychedelly, Friendship Station, The Bayou, and Chaplin's. The Crimestoppers are now a 5 to 7 piece band playing lots of blues and rock 'n roll. The Crimestoppers cover a diverse group of blues and rock artists, including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Jackson, Los Lobos, the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, the Blasters, Neil Young and Jimi Hendrix.
