Join us for a 90 minute workshop that will give you an overview and experience of how to engage mindfulness practices with skills and tools to approach difficult conversations presented by conflict and meditation specialist, Jo-Ann Dominique.
I will also present an overview of a transformative grassroots initiative that we are launching in the new year called
Living Room Conversations http://www.livingroomconversations.org/ This group is linked to the larger Charter for Compassion at www.charterforcompassion.org.
Living Room Conversations will be sponsored by Loudoun Interfaith BRIDGES to engage new skills and tools building bridges of hope and understanding in our neighborhoods and community.
Jo-Ann Dominique has 10 years of experience as a professional Mediator, Facilitator and Conflict Coach within the federal sector of the government. She is certified to use a variety of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) tools, practices and processes to include, Mediation, Facilitation, Conflict Coaching, Training, Climate Assessments, Consultation, Conciliation and Cooperative Problem Solving.
Cathy Norman studied Contemplative Leadership at the Shalem Institute and attended Servant Leadership School in Washington, DC from 2001-2006. She completed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction basic class and is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher integrating meditation as part of Integral Hatha Yoga. Cathy has served on the Board of Loudoun Interfaith BRIDGES for over two years.
