I've been totally enjoying saxophonist Teodross Avery's go-for-broke, textural, inventive playing in the online clips I've been listening to in recent days, and now I can't wait to hear him perform live!
Originally from California, Teo won a full music scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, and was later signed to a major record label at age 19. He's now based in New York, where he continues to perform, compose, and produce.

See more info here: http://www.soundroom.org/#
FOOD OPTION: The Sound Room has a limited but good menu of small plates (entrees and desserts) and drinks that you can enjoy before or during the show. (Order and pay at the front counter. There is no drink/food minimum requirement, but purchases help cover this nonprofit's operating costs.)
