I came especially to Tel Aviv for this event? I met there three other people wondering like me, why the organizer did not show up till 17:20 when I left the place.

Great! THE international business language. I don't just want to "excuse" my inferior Hebrew, but it's really important to have these kinds of meetings in English. Even the French, Koreans, Japanese and Germans start seeing the importance; the Dutch and Scandinavians always had.

I have learned how to limit my travel and make business more efficient.
    1. Get a local phone, fax, mail service for the remote country, while in your base country, so your customers feel like you are local and not remote. It also drastically reduces your phone bills.
    2. Shift most of your lead generation and sales work to Internet and phone .
    3. Find a trusted and capable partner or employee in the remote country that can do most of the face2face meetings so you do not have to travel.
