We are a group of Wellness Practitioners of various backgrounds that have come together to promote a natural, holistic lifestyle, and we want to invite you to come along on this journey. Our Meetup will include a wide variety of activities, workshops, and craft and wellness fairs that will offer something for everyone interested in achieving a more natural lifestyle. We want to create a community that gives back to the place we live, helps our families, friends and neighbors improve their mental and physical health, and promote overall wellness in our everyday lives.
Let's get out to the beaches that we love and help clean them up. We'll meet at the newly reopened OB Pier and head north from there!
Please bring gloves and a reusable container, sun screen, water...whatever you can think of. If you're interested there will be some beach volleyball starting at 9am!
Living Lotus will have a natural lifestyle booth at the Pacific Beachfest on Saturday October 5th from 11am-7pm. There are many activities for the whole family including a 5K run, beach volleyball, rides for the kids and much more. We'll be featuring many hand crafted products for your health and wellness. Stop by to say hello.
We had an awesome time helping Teri and her animals when we went for a few hours and I want to make this a regular event!
Saving Animals & Healing Hearts is always looking for motivated volunteers that can help them by feeding the animals, mucking out stalls, brushing and grooming, socializing with them, and performing facility maintenance.
The following is from their website:
"Saving Animals & Healing Hearts, Inc. is a non profit 501(c)3 organization located in Ramona, CA. We are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abused and neglected animals. We rescue horses, donkeys, mini horses, ponies, pigs, goats, alpacas, emus, turkeys, ducks, geese, chickens, dogs, and other domesticated animals. If any of our rescued animals are unable to be rehomed for any reason, they become permanent residents at our facility. Rescued animals are never euthanized for expedience."
I can drive and fit 3-4 other people in my car. If there are more attendees we can figure out carpooling details. I think this will be a great way to meet some amazing people and do some good for our animal friends.
Please wear closed toed shoes and bring gloves if you have them. They said that they have some to borrow if necessary. They won't know what specific jobs will need to be done until close to that date since things can change rapidly on the farm.
