Living Poetry will host a Poetry on Demand Booth all day from 10AM-6PM. If you would like to participate with this part of the event, please note your preference in your RSVP!
There are opportunities to give readings, have a booth and sell books, and enjoy a great spring day as well as helping the animal charities.
Booth space is discounted for early registration. Authors can bring print titles or burn e-books onto CDs for sale. Visit the link above for fee and registration info!
From the Apex Arts Council (AAC):
One of the authors associated with the AAC came up with the idea of a show combining the arts and help for all the animals we can manage. Half of the proceeds from the event will be donated by the AAC to three (yet to be named) animal rescue groups. Simply having a bunch of painters is the usual way a show generally like this is done, but we intend to go further. We will have painters selling their work, but we are also planningvenues for photographers, sculptors, poets, musicians (including our twenty-piece R&B band, The Peak City Sound), authors, dance, independent film, and perhaps even theater. The idea is to give anyone attending the event the chance to be exposed to as many art forms as possible. The event will be held at the Cloer Family Vineyards in Apex, so we will also have the option of sampling the art of the vintner that day.
