Hello, poets!
There are a few opportunities to write new work this month:
I've extended registration for the First Lines workshop. Registration will close 2 days before the event and 2 seats remain. First Lines takes place on Thursday, July 13th from 6PM-8:30PM in Pittsboro at Greek Kouzina, a delicious restaurant right on Business 64 only 20 minutes from the I-540/Hwy 64 interchange. Don't lose your reader from the start. Let's look at what makes a hook. Bring your first lines for collaborative review and suggestions. Time will be dedicated to producing new hooks that may inspire completely new poems. Dinner and dessert included. $55
Then on Saturday, July 22nd I host my next Country Coffee Prompts event. I love discovering coffee shops on the outskirts of the Triangle. My plan is to change the location for each event and only registrants learn the surprise location. Earlier this spring I held my first CCP event at Grounds Cafe in The Farmhouse at Wendell Falls. We gathered there for lunch and wrote. This time we are meeting at a surprise location about a 20-minute drive from downtown Hillsborough at 10:30AM. We meet, get settled and caffeinated, then write for 90 minutes. Workshop fee includes coffee/beverage, bakery item, and a series of unique prompts. Register to reserve your seat and learn the location! $29
Registration for both events available here.
Have a great weekend,
Tara Lynne
