Living Positive with Chronic Disease Message Board › Ways to keep positive...

Ways to keep positive...

A former member
Hi! I am very excited about this group and what we are creating together. I wanted to pass along two resources for increasing your positivity between now & our next meeting.

Yesterday I read the book "The Skinny on Willpower: How to Develop Self Discipline." It was fabulous, easily one of the best books I've read on creating and sticking to healthy habits. As a bonus it is also a quick read at around an hour. If you hear yourself saying, "I should eat healthier," "I should workout" or "I should reduce stress," this book gives you simple powerful ideas to get yourself on board and following through with those things that will improve your life. Here is the amazon link to read more about it:

Next, I have recently written a special report on developing a positive attitude when you are coping with illness. In it I give my personal positivity prescription, 5 steps for cultivating an authentic positive attitude. Our thoughts and perceptions do impact our level of stress which impacts our health. It is especially important for those of us dealing with an illness to pay attention to an manage our stress level. You can download this report for free at: www.DaneaHorn.com[/url]. Enjoy!

Lastly, if you haven't seen the announcement yet, in December we will be having a conference call in place of our in-person meeting. I wanted to give those members who have yet to join us a chance to get a feel for the group. We will resume meeting in-person come January.

Date/Time: Tuesday, December 13th at 4pm
Call-in Information: 760-569-9000, Access Code 504728#

Wishing you a warm and gratitude-filled Thanksgiving!
Danea
