The Desire Map Book Club - #2

The Desire Map, by Danielle LaPorte, is more than just a program for goals with Soul—it’s a life philosophy.
Desire is the engine of creation.
Feelings are your road signs.
Desire mapping is how to get where you want to go.

The focus of this book club event is to gather with a common purpose: to feel the way you truly want to feel in every area of your life.

We’ll be opening up some dialogue — from the sacredness to the practicalities of core desired feelings, goal setting, and embracing gratitude as a practice. To dig a little deeper and get clear about how we want to feel in the New Year.

Let's start 2014 with intention. Beginning January 7th, we will be meeting for five weeks at The Astoria Bookshop from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. I encourage you to arrive early to browse around the bookshop and ease into the group, as we will be starting promptly at 6:30 pm.

1) Keep playing around with the feeling words you wrote down before the first meeting. Look up definitions, refine, refresh, release. Narrow your words down to 3-5 core desired feelings and bring the list to next week’s meeting.

2) Read Section Two of The Desire Map, “Introducing Desire”

3) Discussion questions to think about:
a. What’s your version of “having it all”?
b. “I only want to hit my targets if the aiming and the hitting both feel good.” Is there something you’ve been pushing for and the pushing has not been feeling good?
