  • Cell Rejuvenation Center and Bikram's Yoga College of India -- John's Landing

Viktoras Kulvinskas -- Essene Bishop, co-founder of the world-renowned Hippocrates Health Institute and the developer of its wheatgrass and raw food program, and father of the Modern Raw Foods Revolution -- will be conducting two separate presentations in Portland on the topic of Eating for Planetary Survival.

In this provocative talk, this long-time visionary, mystic, and spiritual leader will apply to our food choices Socrates' admonition that "the unexamined life is not worth living", examining recent science around the global food crisis, global warming, nutrition, and animal sentience.

Author of the New York Times Best-Seller, Survival in the 21st Century (now in its 35th printing) as well as four other books and numerous articles on natural healing, Rev. Viktoras Kulvinskas is also noted as a mentor by many of today's leading holistic health leaders and socio-political activists such as Gabriel Cousens, M.D.; Dick Gregory; Dr. Smokey Santillo; Karyn Calabrese; Dr. Brian Clement; and David Wolfe. He has spoken at the United Nations on the topic of solving world hunger and health problems, and his research on blue-green algae and enzymes have contributed to their widespread availability.

The first presentation will be held at People's Food Co-op on Tuesday, September 9th, from 7-9 pm. The second presentation will be held at the Cell Rejuvenation Center at Bikram's Yoga John's Landing on the evening of Wednesday, September 10th.
