What we're about

Do you live in westchester or fairfield county? Do you enjoy happy hours, local events or the occasional day trip? This is the group for you. Future meetups will include going to an Indie film, happy hours, museums, performing arts and dining out with new friends. Come on your own, bring a friend or your significant other. If you have any suggestions for a meetup, please let me know. I look forward to meeting you.

Please make sure you have a photo of yourself in your profile so that I can identify you when you attend a meetup. Please make sure to update your RSVPs if you can no longer make it to an event.

***IMPORTANT*** No shows will be deleted from the group. If you cannot make an event, be considerate and cancel. Repeated last minute cancellations are also inconsiderate. I understand that things do happen whether work related or personal but if it is a habit, then this group is not for you.

UPDATED TIME: Oscar Shorts - Live Action

The Palace Danbury

UPDATED Information: We will meet before the movie, so that we can find seating together. Please arrive around 5:30 pm, as we will be heading in to find seating 15 minutes before the movie starts at 6:00 pm. If you are running late, please send me a message and let me know. There may be another meetup group, so look at my profile photo and look for me. Please post a photo of yourself for your profile or it may be difficult to find you. I will be wearing a brown scarf and have a beige purse. If you send me your number, I can text you in case you are unable to find me. I will be standing at the small tables in the area where they sell drinks and small snacks. I will likely have a meetup sign with me. The Live Action Shorts begin at 6:00 pm and end about 8:00 pm. Please indicate whether or not you plan to join us for dinner. Parking is in the back and is free for patrons. If you haven't been here before, look for the parking sign. As always, if your RSVP changes, please be respectful and let me know.

Weekend Update at The Hudson Room

The Hudson Room

I haven't been here yet. I will make sure to get a table and put a meetup sign on the table. You can also ask the host/ess where we are. The website says that the group will come on at 10 pm. I plan to get there earlier for a bit to eat. So just let me know if you are joining for dinner or just the band and anticipated time to arrive. I just want to be on the lookout if you are coming later. Check out the group's facebook page for samples of their music. https://www.facebook.com/weekendupdateband/ Please make sure you have a photo of yourself in your profile so that I can identify you when you attend a meetup. Please make sure to update your RSVPs if you can no longer make it to an event. ***IMPORTANT*** No shows will be deleted from the group. If you cannot make an event, be considerate and cancel. Updated: Athena Film Festival 3/3/2019

Barnard College, Diana Center LL103

Please read all information and RSVP accordingly. Please make sure to buy tickets in advance. This is a small film festival and is quite popular. Do not expect to show up and buy a ticket onsite; it will VERY OFTEN be sold out. Please arrive early. Please send me your contact number or communicate with me the night before so that we can confirm meeting place and time. I plan to drive in, so if you want to carpool, let me know. There is lots of great energy and amazing films and usually a Q&A afterwards. The lines to buy snacks are ridiculous, so I suggest bringing your own snacks and/or drinks with you. I have selected two films to attend. You can certainly join us for one film, both films or just dinner afterwards. Please just let me know your plans. Whichever film/s you decide to attend, buy tickets before the event. I cannot stress that enough. https://athenafilmfestival.com/festival-info/schedule/ 12 pm film: Shorts Program Shorts Program III - Spotlight on STEM Ina R. & Howard J.
