Non-duality London Pages

Here are some pointers to what non-duality is:

There is no path, there is no 'ending of delusion', for the delusion never began, which is to say that the miracle never ended. For the Miracle is THIS - Jeff Foster

The illusory individual is always looking for something that seems to be secret. Its always looking for an apparent secret but actually what it is looking for already is everything. There is only everything, absolutely everything as it is. The problem for the seeker is the seeker is looking for something in particular. The seeker is looking for a treasure, a particular treasure, a treasure in life, whereas LIFE is the treasure. Life is the beloved, life is absolute love. This what is happening is the gift. This is the offering. It never leaves you, its never gone away. Its never come and its never gone away. It never will go away. Its there constantly, whatever happens. Wherever you walk, whatever you do, in your breathing, in your sitting, in your walking, in your eating, in your sleeping, there is the beloved. - Tony Parsons

There's a wonderful story that comes from the Zen tradition. A student wanted to know what enlightenment was. He kept bugging his master to tell him, but the master kept sending him away, telling him "I'm afraid if you hear what I have to say, you'll be disappointed." But the young student persisted. So, the master finally agreed to answer his question. "You want to know what enlightenment is?" The master said. "Enlightenment is you, exactly as you are." - John Astin

There is no 'Self' to own a feeling
Or emotion that needs healing
Nor a past that needs revealing
Or a person who needs 'toughening'
To cope with 'their' apparent suffering
And guilt can no more plague a heart
In oneness, where it has no part
There is no Soul to seek and find
Through practices to clear the mind
There is no Self behind the eyes
Yet joy or fear could still arise
But no-ones in to sympathize!
No self -no suffering - no-one seeing
That this aliveness HERE, is Being. - Mandi Solk

Stop. Look. Listen. Hear the traffic, the birds, the wind. Feel the breathing. Nothing special. Just the extraordinary miracle of what actually is. - Joan Tollifson

I've been freed from the self that pretends to be someone, and in becoming no one, I begin to live. - T.S. Eliot

It takes two to get one in trouble.
Mae West

Words are beautiful but restricted. They're very masculine, with a compact frame. But voice is over the dark, the place where there's nothing to hang on: it comes from a part of yourself that simply knows, expresses itself, and is.
Jeff Buckley

You have to forget about what other people say, when you're supposed to die, or when you're supposed to be loving. You have to forget about all these things.
Jimi Hendrix

Master Tung Kuo asked Chuang Tzu, “That which is called the Tao, where is it?”
Chuang Tzu replied, “There is nowhere where it is not.”
“But give me a specific example.”
“In this ant,” said Chuang Tzu.
“Is that its lowest point?”
“In this panic grass,” said Chuang Tzu.
“Can you give me a lower example?”
“In this common earthenware tile,” said Chuang Tzu.
“This must be its lowest point!”
“It’s in shit and piss too,” said Chuang Tzu.
Master Tung Kuo had no answer to this.

Students achieving Oneness will move on to Twoness - Woody Allen

At the end of one of his meetings, Nisargadatta Maharaj asked: “How many of you have understood what I have been saying?” A few raised their hands. To those he said, “Then you need not come back!” Then he announced: “And those of you who have not understood, you also should not come back!” Finally he asked the question: “And who will be here tomorrow?” Everyone raised their hands! '

Before enlightenment
Chop wood, carry water
After enlightenment
Chop wood, carry water - Zen Proverb

There's only transcendence in the moment. Nobody can be transcended forever. That's why I say, 'who cares if you're enlightened forever? - Byron Katie

As It Is, life has no meaning beyond itself. It is always at the point of completion and, simultaneously, as fresh as the morning dew at the dawn of creation.- Leo Hartong

Every thought, every feeling, is a visitor. You just say: Welcome. Come in and sit with me. - Pamela
