The THURSDAY evening Autumn group meets to work through the 12 weeks of The Artist's Way book, by Julia Cameron. We will meet each week to share our progress and support each other in our creative journeys. You don't need to have done the Artist's Way before and returners are welcome! Your hosts are Gordon and Kim - they are volunteers and will be working through the book with you too.
Please keep your RSVP up to date so we know whether to expect you. If you RSVP and don't show up to this first meeting, you risk being asked to leave the group.
What will happen at this meetup?
This first meeting is about 'Getting Started'. In this session, we will introduce ourselves and share how the meetings will work. To prepare, please try to read the introduction and Basic Tools section of the book and bring a notebook with you!
Does it cost anything?
Yes, £6 (one-off fee) and a drink each week. There is a sign up fee of £6 which goes towards the meetup.com subscription costs. You will need to pay in advance to secure your place and please read the prep materials (see above)! **You will also need to buy a drink at the venue - this is a requirement otherwise we will be charged a hire fee.**
This is a 'Creative Cluster'
This is a "creative cluster", not a taught course or therapy group. You might like to read the appendix in the book called Trail Mix which covers Julia's concept of Sacred Circles (although we do it our own particular way!). It's a self-run group with volunteers as hosts at each meeting.
Time, dates and location
We'll meet on Thursdays at Megaro Eatery opposite King's Cross Station. Your hosts will be at the venue from 6.45pm and the meeting will start promptly at 7pm. The session will start then and will finish by 8.30pm, sometimes earlier depending on how the discussions go. This group will meet for 13 weeks (including the Getting Started session), until 12 December 2019. We hope you can commit yourself to coming to most of the meetings.
If you've got any questions, please contact one of the hosts or Kateboo.
See you there!
