This group is for single black mums who are unemployed and for whom self improvement means better education or the confidence to develop own business. However, if all you want is simply not to feel isolated, this is also a welcoming space for you. You will find here a space of no judgement, crippling expectations or pressure. There will be structured meetups for those pursuing a specific goal, which all members are welcome to. At these, no assumptions will be made so it will be up to each individual to bring up what you want to work on.
The group's aim is to be mutually supportive, help each other navigate the teen terrain which can seem like tall grassland Safaris, full of hidden dangers and no early warning system.
Here you will benefit from good mental health promotion, health, nutrition and fitness advice / signposting , confidence building workshops, mindfulness and basic but refreshing yoga (no strenuous poses). Confidentiality is expected of all members, what is said in the group remains in the group. This group also welcomes Black lesbian and bisexual single mums of teenagers. There is a suggested donation of a £1.00 to cover costs of the meet up.
