A group where you can receive constructive feedback on your writing , listen to the writing of others, and meet like minded writers.
Those in attendance range from complete novices to well seasoned writers. Whatever your level we would welcome you to the group.
7pm to 9pm - A chance for willing participants to read out a piece of writing that they have been working on, in order to receive constructive feedback from the group. This is completely voluntary, and you are welcome to just listen. The reading time is up to ten minutes (~2000 words). We normally get through between 4 and 6 pieces an evening.
9pm onwards - Get drunk in the pub downstairs, what better time than a Monday night? In seriousness, we normally have a couple of drinks and some lively debates (sometimes about plays/novels/movies - but often not).
Anything! We have novels, novellas, short-stories, film scripts, plays and poetry. All are accepted (and positively encouraged). With plays and film scripts you will often find willing participants to read the various parts. We are an adult writing group, so there is no restriction on genre.
We meet upstairs in the function room of The Leather Exchange, a lovely pub near London Bridge station. Best of all, we get the venue for free!
