Microsoft Reactor

Please sign up on the eventbrite page at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/introduction-to-power-bi-tickets-60970458282. This is a gentle beginner-level hands-on introduction to Power BI at a relaxed pace. We'll build some great visualisations and connect and wrangle our data into a good shape for analysis and visualisation. The format is a mixture of short presentations and demos and guided hands-on labs. There will be group of expert coaches to help you and answer any Power BI questions you may have. You will need to bring a laptop with the latest version of Power BI Desktop installed. On the day after (Sunday, 7th July), we'll have a separate event to explore the latest features in Power BI including dataflows and the AI capabilities. This is aimed at people who already are using Power BI. This will be announced on meetup in mid-May. If both events are oversubscribed, we may ask people who have booked on both to choose one or the other. You must sign up on the eventbrite page at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/introduction-to-power-bi-tickets-60970458282. We are doing this so we have an email address to ask you to reconfirm before the event. This is to avoid no-shows.

Power BI Training - Latest Features

Microsoft Reactor

Please sign up on the eventbrite page at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/power-bi-training-latest-features-tickets-61430397974 This training is for people who are already familiar with Power BI. We'll look at some of the more recently introduced features in Power BI, especially the more advanced analytics and integration with machine learning capabilities. This will include: - dataflows for data preparation, - conditional formatting for titles, the new Key Influencers visual and other new visualisation capabilities, - using machine learning, R and Python from Power BI, - improvements to the Q&A (natural language query), - and perhaps some features that will be in May and June versions. Bring your own laptop with the latest version of Power BI Desktop since we want to look at the most recent features - that will be the June 2019 version. (We'll send you an email when this version becomes available.) There will be group of expert coaches to help you and answer any Power BI questions you may have. If you are a beginner to Power BI, we recommend the Saturday course, which is an introduction and does not assume any previous experience of Power BI.
