New venue for: The Symbiosis Of Man And Machine. With Peter Cochrane

Here's wishing that 2013 will bring all London Futurists important new insights about the radical future options ahead of us all, as well as the skills and opportunities to help shape the future in a positive and humane direction.

2012 saw the London Futurists move from strength to strength, as more and more people joined the Meetup, and signed up to attend forthcoming events.

Indeed, so many of you signed up to attend the 19th Jan event, "The Symbiosis Of Man And Machine. With Peter Cochrane" that I've had to change the venue. (The alternatives were to restrict numbers, reject applications, or squeeze attendees in two-to-a-seat.)

This event will no longer be held at the Google Campus in Shoreditch, but at Birkbeck College, Torrington Square WC1E 7HX, in Central London. You can check the details at

If the changes affect your plans to attend, please take a moment to update your RSVP. (You can RSVP "No" or "Yes".)

Whilst I'm writing, let me draw your attention to a number of futurist-related online resources that you may enjoy. You can think of them as a kind of New Year gift...

*) Like short, trippy videos? Then take a look at some of the work of Jason Silva, such as "The six epochs of evolution" or "Abundance";

*) Prefer to listen to mind-stretching podcasts? Then subscribe to the "Singularity 1 on 1" series by Nikola Danaylov (aka "Socrates"), where there are plenty of fascinating interviews;

*) Looking for a thought-provoking novel with a credible, futurist theme? I recommend "Nexus: mankind gets an upgrade" by Ramez Naam. See my review of it here.

I look forward to seeing you at London Futurist events shortly!
