-- Meetup postponed to Tuesday 5 June --
Later this month, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect. Users of services will have extended rights to view their data, move it, and get it deleted. It will affect services offered by public and private organisations.
In this meetup, we will discuss data and privacy in the context of public services. We will hear from designers and policy advisors about how users become better informed of how their personal data is being used and how they can take more control of it.
Join us on Tuesday 5 June to discuss data and privacy with experts working in this area.
The event will be hosted by Government Digital Service (GDS).
Sarah Gates, Data Policy Advisor at Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS)
Richard Pope, Chief Operating Officer, Projects by IF
Nick Forrester, Senior User Researcher, Government Digital Service
The agenda for the evening:
6:00 Doors open
6:40 Talks from our speakers
7:40 Panel conversation and time for additional questions
8:00 Wrap up and move on to the pub
