• What we'll do
Hi Everyone! We're back with our 1st meetup of the year and we've got a great year planned out already! Huge thanks to the kind people at Quantcast for agreeing to host us and also providing food and drink for the evening!

We are aways interested in people getting in touch to present their own experiences with the HashiCorp toolset. If you have something that you want to speak about please get in touch with us here - https://goo.gl/forms/BomWAjwOquooVUkO2

Plans is...

6.30pm - Arrive - Beers, Pizza and socialising

7pm - Talk 1 - Indy Bains & Doug Thomson - Platform Architects @ CapGemini - Hyper Cloud, Hyper Scale, Hyper V

A demonstration on how Terraform can be utilised to build a globally dispersed multi-OS container platform, spanning numerous cloud providers.

7.45pm - Talk 2 - James Nugent - Engineering @ Joyent - # Zero to Vault in AWS

A question often asked by Vault operators is how to get around the "chicken-and-egg" problem that
Vault presents: Vault (by default) uses Consul for storage, but ideally Consul would retrieve TLS
certificates from Vault in order to encrypt traffic and allow members to authenticate securely.

In this talk, we'll walk end-to-end through a self-assembling, self-healing deployment process for
Vault's open-source edition in AWS, complete with configuration of the EC2 authentication back end
to allow other instances to identify themselves and receive Vault tokens.

8.30pm - Remaining, beer, pizza... TO THE PUB!
