Hi Everyone,

This might be of interest to those who work or know anyone working in ICT4D with international experience in governance and/or citizen engagement:

DAI has been short-listed for the DFID Making All Voices Count (MAVC) opportunity. The UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), together with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Omidyar Network (ON) will create a Fund to support innovation, scaling-up and research in the use of technology to support open government and citizen engagement.

The MAVC Fund will identify and support work in four areas to exploit mobile, web and new technologies in support of citizen engagement and government responsiveness. MAVC will concentrate its efforts in emerging democracies, where delivering to citizens is at a particular premium, with an expected focus at municipal and sub-national levels, where citizens interact most with government. The four areas of the fund are as follows:
· Backing innovative ideas and technology solutions
· Building an evidence base on what works and why
· Scaling up successful initiatives and responses
· Catalysing global attention and action around these issues
The team is expected to be based in London and the programme is estimated to start in Spring 2013. There is quite a short turnaround time for the project and we hope to confirm all of the roles by mid-December.

For this opportunity DAI is seeking an experienced Advisors for the four areas of the fund. Please get in touch if you are interested or know anyone that is, feel free to pass on my contact details
