This is the first part of the Thames Path: each month we will be walking a section along the River Thames.
This month the walk (of about 7-8 miles) is from Hammersmith to Richmond. If you want to leave the walk earlier you can finish at Barnes Village after 3 miles, Kew Bridge after 5 miles, or Camden Lock after 6 miles.
This event is organised jointly with EuroClub (represented by Thomas Eros): Thomas will be leading the walk again this month (his photo is shown below).
Meet Thomas by McDonalds in the Broadway shopping centre outside Hammersmith Tube Station between 10:00-10:15 am, for a prompt departure at 10.30am. We cannot wait for you if you are late, because it is not fair on the others to delay the walk. Note that the Broadway centre is next to the exit for the Piccadilly and District lines; if you use the Circle or Hammersmith line to go to Hammersmith you will need to cross the road to enter the Broadway centre.
You can use the JourneyPlanner to plan your journey to the meeting place (please check for engineering works which may affect you):
We usually try to find a pub or cafe for a lunch break (if there are lots of us we will divide ourselves into smaller groups). Alternatively you may like to bring a sandwich with you to eat during the walk (you may not be allowed to eat this inside a pub or cafe).
Thomas' mobile number is[masked].
There is a £2 meetup charge for this event. Please pay Thomas when you see him. You will also need to bring enough cash for your Tube/train/bus tickets and meal/drinks.
Weather forecast for London:
The main walk should end by about 4pm (depending on the speed at which we walk, how long is required for the lunchtime break, and whether we lose the way).
Members are responsible for their own health and safety at all events organised by the London International Meetup group. Please always take care, and make sure that you have adequate health / travel insurance
