Effective JavaScript Debugging with Chrome’s Developer Tools

Tracing a bug in a complex application can be a frustrating experience. Luckily the tools available for debugging JavaScript code have improved tremendously over the last few years. During this talk, we’ll investigate different bugs and use Chrome’s Developer Tools to find the code that’s causing the defect. Bring your laptop if you want to follow along.

For any questions feel free to drop me a line

I hope to see you all at the meetup!

Matt Zeunert is an independent software developer. He loves making JavaScript apps and blogs about code readability.

Thanks for all the positive feedback - it was a very informative and enjoyable evening all round.

A massive thank you to Matt for his great talk. I'm sure that many of the techniques he demonstrated are going to be in daily use for all of us lucky JSLovers, boosting productivity across many organisations in London - well done!

I'd also like to thank my fellow JUST EATers Jenny and Zlatin for their help, which made the event run so smoothly.

Finally, a big thank you to Brian and Luca for their organisation of LondonJS.

And don't worry... I'll talk with Luca about hosting another LondonJS event at JUST EAT in the near future.

Totally agree, thanks to Matt for his presentation, Simon for hosting the event and the whole London JS team for organising it. As an aside I had to leave early but put my dinner order through the Just Eat platform. Great work on the webapp; Chrome, Android and train hindered connectivity didn't get in the way.
