What do you hope to get out of joining this meditation group?

I wish to share the possibility of well being that the Mindfulness Based Living Course and Secular Mindfulness practice can facilitate with as many people as possible in the most authentic way possible.

How much experience do you have with meditation or mindfulness?

I first discovered mindfulness in 2009. I have completed numerous short courses in Yoga and Meditation before doing an MBSR Course and Urban Mindfulness Retreat back in 2013. I now train with the Mindfulness Association who deliver the MSc alongside the University of Aberdeen. I have completed a compassion retreat on Holy Isle, the Mindfulness Associations, Mindfulness Foundation Course, Practitioners 1-year training course, Enquiry and CPD Course, Compassion in Action retreat, Introduction to Teaching Skills Course and Mindfulness Based Living Course - Teachers Skills Retreat where I was able to pass the assessment as ready to teach the MBLC. I have also completed the Mindfulness in Schools Project, Dot B programme to teach 11-18 year olds. For the past year my wife and I have run a free meditation meet up group and I am now studying on the Master's Degree In Mindfulness with the University of Aberdeen.

My name is Dean. Since 2009 I have slowly cultivated an established 45 min daily practice. I train with the Mindfulness Association and I am currently doing the Master’s Degree In Mindfulness Studies with the University of Aberdeen.
