If our meetup is about open source databases, MySQL is clearly one of our favorite topics. And we covered it several times. Finally we manage to do it with MySQL Community Manager, David Stokes!
If you're in London, you're welcome to come and meet him. He will tell us about the future of MySQL. And don't forget to prepare your questions for David!

>> New MySQL Features and a Brief Look into 2020!
MySQL has made lot of progress with version 8.0 and it has become the fasted adopted new version of MySQL in history. The new CI/CD release pattern had been delivering a lot of new features on a regular basis that you may have not noticed. There is JSON Document Validation thanks to the good people at JSON-schema.org, random passwords, hash joins, explain analyze, constraint checks, and more. So if you need to caught up this is you chance and if you are wondering what is in the near term future this is your opportunity.
Give a lightning talk at London Open Source Database meetup, to share your experience and knowledge! It is also a way to show your skills in front of a crowd of potential future colleagues and coworkers.
Each talk is required to be 5 minutes long. We prefer talks that are inherent to the main theme of the event, or talks of very general interest.
If you want to propose a talk, please send an email to [masked] with the following information:

* Your company and job title as they should appear in this page
Lightning talks will be announced when selected.
