What we're about

London Photo Walks (www.londonphotwalks.uk) offers photography walking tours combining historical facts with expert photographic tuition to capture stunning images of iconic London landmarks.

Whether you are an experienced photgrapher looking to increase your portfolio, a beginner wanting to get the best from your camera, an avid mobile phone snapper or you just want to see some great sites and hear the stories behind them then our walks are ideal for you.

Each 4-5 hour walk showcases a different aspect of London life and history and groups are kept small.

On your Time Traveller's Walk see the rich maritime history of Greenwich (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the modern architecture of Canary Wharf and the trendy street art of East London. We'll even travel across time zones and walk under the River Thames!

The Royal Parks walk takes you on a leisurely journey through four of London's Royal parks. On the way we'll seek out Lord Nelson's spare nose, feed the squirrels (and maybe some parakeets), see if the Queen is at home, pass Number 1 London, visit the Victorian splendour of 'Albertropolis' and stand under a blue whale.

The South Bank walk is a lively walk which packs in many of London's most recognisable landmarks, including two of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. See the largest four faced clock tower in the world, Europe's largest Ferris wheel, the EU's tallest building, Shakespeare's Globe (and where his brother is buried), London's 1000 year old market and where polar bears swam in the Thames.

On your North 'n' South photo walking tour you'll see London's only round Church (it was in The Da Vinci Code), the oldest object on the streets of London, the Queen's bodyguards, an art centre named after a sugar baron, James Bond's HQ, the Archbishop's home and a tunnel full of graffiti.

Each guest receives a comprehensive guide giving you a brief history of the sites visited on your walk plus an indispensible guide on photography with tips on composition, exposure, lens choice, creative controls, filters, shooting panoramic images and more.
