• TASTER SESSION: Practice Public Speaking in a friendly environment

Hello everyone! We will meet in the Dorfman Theatre at the National Theatre @ 3:00 PM. (follow the instructions below to get there). ***Please note this Meetup is private and has nothing to do with the National Theatre, therefore, the staff won't be able to help. Please use the app to contact us.*** For those of you unfamiliar with the scene, the purpose of impromptu speaking is to practice not only your presentation skills but also come over the fear of standing in front of an audience, starting from a friendly and welcoming environment. Here's how it works: - Warm up session - Taking a turn, each one will be given a random topic to talk about for 2 minutes - Exercise session - A second round of impromptu speaking - Feedback session (only if you want). You will not be forced to speak, but we'll warmly encourage you to try, remember we are in a friendly, welcoming environment where everyone shares the same fears! What to bring: A notebook if you want to write down your thoughts, questions, ideas. You can bring a friend/family member for moral support or just to introduce them to the public speaking practice! Invitations (for etiquette reasons) are limited to 1 person per participant. Preparation: There’s no preparation needed, for those who are new to impromptu speaking we’ll explain everything before we start. Etiquette: The events are limited to 20 participants if you can’t make it kindly let us know in advance or take your name off the RSVP list before the event starts. Cost: London Self Assurance and Personal Development doesn’t take any payment for this Public Speaking Taster event. However, we host once a month a workshop in parallel to the usual impromptu speaking that requires a ticket to support a private venue hire.
