This series of three interactive presentations will include the following comprehensive lyric writing guides on Wednesday 17th, 24th April and 1st May 2019 at 6:15pm: 17/04/19 – Lyric Writing: Generating Ideas, Structure and The Big Idea! 24/04/19 – Lyric Writing: Developing your lyrics with Imagery, Storytelling and Rhyme 1/05/19 – Lyric Writing: Enhancing your lyrics with Wordplay, Meter and Singability By analysing contemporary and classic songs you will learn the elements of what makes a great lyric and invaluable advice on each of those elements that contribute to a balanced whole. These sessions are suitable for beginner and intermediate songwriters, whether pure lyricists or composers. There is more than enough information each week to be taken as a standalone session and the price is discounted by 15% to £17 each. This month's meetup has something for every songwriter - Beginners are welcome and we always learn from each other! 'A super workshop; I really enjoyed it!' (a previous attendee). Join us for a fun and practical Collaboration Session based on a commercial writing brief. Some fantastic songs have been written in our workshops. if you love playing and writing songs, or wish to learn, be part of it! * Hone your Collaboration skills, or try them out in an enjoyable and comfortably challenging guided collaboration brief with a choice of live commercial opportunities. As always, we will also discuss the dynamics and process of co-writing, which can be beneficial to most writers and essential for those who are purely lyricists or composers. * You can also get valuable, constructive feedback on your own songs if you have some in a safe, friendly and supportive environment. * Meet new friends, co-writers, music producers. Over the years many lyricists and composers have found working partners at our events. Some great songs have been written, fully produced and garnered record releases as well as TV/Radio airplay.
