How would you best describe your yourself ? (e.g. researcher, developer, analyst, quant, systematic trader, discretionary trader, etc...)

Dev/Quant in the advertising space. Develop algorithms for real time acquisition of advertising space using billions of data points daily.

What are you motivations for joining this group and how would you be able to contribute to some of our objectives ?

On-line advertising is a growth industry, with its own set of challenges. These cannot be unique and must crossover with traditional trading. I would like to discuss and these with fellow practitioners and to contribute this unique perspective to the community.

What would you ideally like to learn or achieve by joining this meetup group?

An insight into traditional systematic trading and to draw parallels with my work in the advertising space and those of others in the financial arena.
