What we're about

To introduce myself.... my name is Rowena Bach. My background is HR and Talent/L&D and I moved into a product development role in 2015 having founded a tech startup and realised that I really like building products and services for people that solve problems (as well as being commercial). Being new to this field I've been playing catch up on my technical prod dev knowledge and part of this is learning from others. I've been part of women's groups throughout my career and have found them inspiring and useful in equal measure. The chance to get a Women in Product & Service Development group going was too good to miss!

We've had a few new members in the last few weeks so I thought it would be helpful to lay out what I'm planning this year with regards to this group. My aim is to run events that brings a community of female product and service technologists together, who are passionate about the future of Women in Product! At every meet up we can:

- socialise,

- discuss market topics and best practice,

- talk about our successes and struggles,

- hear from guest speakers

- perhaps conduct research as women in this field to encourage others to follow suit,

and have a great time!

I have a few speakers in mind who could join us to share their career stories or product journeys in future meetings. If there's something specific you would like to cover I'd love to hear it, please do get in touch: rowena@mykindafuture.com

Hope to see you at a meetup soon!
