Crossing the bridge from corporate comfort to start-up solitude.

Corporate life does not prepare you for the day you set out on your own.  For many creating a new business or consultancy whether by choice or no choice is a frightening leap into the unknown.
Quentin talks about the highs and lows of being your own boss.  In particular, he tackles the unique start-up challenges of: isolation, minimal resource, team building, choosing business partners (or not), delegation, cash flow, multi-tasking, planning as well as off and online marketing.

Presented by Quentin.  Quentin and his team have trained employees from over 1000 organisations including all ‘Big 4’ accountancy firms, all ‘Magic Circle’ law firms, MacLaren Sony, Red Bull, BBC, and Channel 4.  Despite this extensive corporate experience, Quentin is at his happiest working with SMEs and charities.  Follow him @QtheMarketer

Still 25 spots available. Do you know someone who would benefit from this. Help #WPLDN share the word by tweeting the event or posting on twitter. Whilst I understand the less numbers that attend the more beer and pizza it's still good to bring new people into the enviroment.

Unfortunately I can't make it now, have a great evening all.

Hi, whereabouts in the university building will this take place? Is there a particular room?

    August 27, 2015

    • Dan M.

When you arrive keep an eye out for orange #wpldn signs https://twitter.com/wp... these will guide you to the room.

      August 27, 2015

    • Gary J.

Head up the steps into the main building, turn right, and look for the orange WPLDN arrow signs. They'll point you down the hall, up some stairs (two flights), and then keep following the corridor around until you see the pizza beer :-)

Note that last month, the main door was closed due to construction work, but Dan left everything well sign-posted - just keep following the arrows.
