This will be the fifth annual ball hosted by the Piccadilly dance orchestra, who are the best big dance orchestra in the UK. The Cafe de Paris is the most charming of the venues in London, and despite the vandalisation of the eighties refurb, it retains much of its 1930s splendour. It's a dinner dance. Last year the food was of good restaurant quality as was the wine. Tickets are not cheap at £100 a ticket, but Michael keeps the numbers down to around 120 tickets. so there's plenty of room on the dance floor. Ticket price includes the 3 course meal, half a bottle of wine each, and a cocktail on arrival. This is the only truly glamorous ball I have visited in London since I hatched the idea for this website nine months ago. If you order tickets (before November 27th) in advance you can get them for £90. You should wear black tie or period dress.
