The last couple of times I went to the Stardust balls I thought things had improved, People were better and more exotically dressed, the place was fuller and the level of dancing was still high. it's a good large floor, and the owner and staff are obviously hard working and dedicated to bringing about quality.
The bar in the main club downstairs is open to the dancers, and is reasoably priced. There's a usually show dance by world competition winners and if you want to go to it, there's a lesson for an hour, usually from 7,30 pm to 8.30 pm, which is thrown in with the ticket price, but do phone or e mail them to check
Tickers for this ball aren't cheap at between £20 to £35 ( depending on the show), but are far less if you take out membership. Personally I preferred the Kennington venue, because I preferred the ambience, and the crowd, but this is still one of the best five places to go dancing on a Saturday might, and they hold these balls once a month. You can buy the tickets on line or at the door. Their web site for this monthly dance is stardust ball.co.uk
I can't show up to date photos, as bizarrely, the owner won't let me use my camera The place is open intil 12.30 am,
